KZFR is currently recruiting for a Production Assistant. Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Production Assistant is responsible for program traffic and day-to-day activities related to KZFR’s on-air broadcasting. The Production Assistant ensures that programmers are able to broadcast their programs smoothly and with a professional sound.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Downloading, organizing, and implementing pre-recorded PSAs, promos, and programs
- Producing and preparing audio segments for on-air play
- Serving as a board operator during pre-empted programming and emergency broadcast situations
- Performing announcer and board operator duties as assigned
- Training volunteers in technical requirements and operation of the control board
- Coordinating programming schedules with live and off-site programmers and the Volunteer Coordinator
- Assisting programmers with set-up and production of live in-studio music performances
- Facilitating and supporting production of live remote broadcasts
- Assisting with Pledge Drive activities, including preparing thank-you gifts and overseeing the phone bank during pledge drives

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chico, CA 95928
