The Ukrainian Crisis: Prologue to WWIII?

"The Ukrainian Crisis:  Prologue to WWIII?”

Speakers: George Wright & Professor Emeritus, CSUC Department of Political Science
Wed, Feb 18, 2015 @ CSUC PAC Room 144, 4:00 pm

The current political, economic, and military crisis in Ukraine, beginning in the fall of 2013, has been responsible for not only a civil war but also a new Cold War between the United States/the European Union (the West) and Russia. The ongoing geo-political situation between the West and Russia has an ominous similarity to developments which led up to World Wars I and II.

Dr. George Wright, former Professor in the CSUC Dept. of Political Science, will speak on β€œThe Ukrainian Crisis: Prologue to WWIII?” on Wed, Feb 18, at the CSUC Performing Arts Center, Room 144 at 4:00 p.m. Dr. Wright intends to explain the internal situation in Ukraine as well as reasons for the new Cold War and its implications, including prospects for a World War III. Learn about the "Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014” and why political opposites Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich say this Act is tantamount to declaring war on Russia. The public and the media are invited to attend.

At 7 p.m., also on Wed, Feb 18, the public is invited to join an informal conversation with Dr. Wright, to explore the issues and consider options for citizen action. To be held at the Chico Peace and Justice Center, 526 Broadway in Chico. Please, attend both events and learn more about what we are not being told. We, as citizens of the USA and the world, must understand what is going on.

Youth members of the Boys & Girls Club of the North Valley recently toured the station. Our GM gave them a behind the scenes look at an independent, nonprofit community radio station. Your group could too!
