Animal Rights is a Social Justice Issue

Professor Robert Jones of the Chico State Philosophy Department will be hosting a talk on the concept of Animal Rights on Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:30pm.

With literature on social justice and social justice movements routinely ignoring non-human animals as legitimate subjects of social justice, Professor Jones will argue that all sentient beings should be included in social justice movements. With topics including but not limited to 'speciesism', cultural imperialism, oppression, and marginalization this talk will highlight Professor Jones' theories on universal equality.
