World Exploration Lecture Series

The Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology will host local author and anthropologist Jay Fuller at their monthly World Explorations Lecture Series from 4-5 PM at the Chico Women’s Club on Saturday, April 5th. Join them for an enlightening exploration of the shamanistic traditions of the indigenous Sami people of Arctic Europe who have lived as hunters, trappers, gatherers and reindeer herders for at least 5,000 years.

Over thirty 5th grade students from Chico Country Day School were on Ecotopia recently talking about their work fundraising for Walk 4 Water, a project that promotes clean water infrastructure and new wells in Uganda.
