As you may know in July 2025, the U.S. Senate passed the Rescission Act, which eliminated all funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CPB grants have long helped sustain public media outlets like KZFR. July 2025 also marks 35 years of broadcasting at KZFR. It's thanks to your ongoing support that we serve as a cornerstone of the North Valley—an arts & culture epicenter and a trusted source of news, music, and public affairs.
Thanks to your support, we'll be able to continue to broadcast beloved legacy programs like Planet Waves, Celt Radio, Peace & Social Justice, Ecotopia, and Basically The Blues, while also launching exciting new shows such as Corban’s Corner, Time Warp FM, ArtVibes, The Emerald Isle, and Across The Universe.
It's thanks to your ongoing support that we can continue to serve as a cornerstone of the North Valley — as an arts & music epicenter and a trusted source of news and public affairs.
We also want to acknowledge all of the volunteers & local businesses who helped make the pledge drive a success! A special huge THANK YOU to all of the local Non-Profit Organizations who volunteer staffing the pledge line phones, all of the programmers who brought you amazing pledge drive shows, committee members that helped in so many ways, the local businesses that donated gift cards, concerts tickets & feed our hungry, hard working volunteers for 10 days!
