Students on Ecotopia

Over thirty 5th grade students from Chico Country Day School were on Ecotopia recently talking about their work fundraising for Walk 4 Water, a project that promotes clean water infrastructure and new wells in Uganda.

They spoke about the importance of this work, about how it relates to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and about their projects, ranging from poster making and meeting with business leaders to do a bake sale.

Their teachers, Denai Rubio and Nicole Hardoy, neatly organized the kids into teams of four or five to talk with Ecotopia host Stephen Tchudi. One of the kids, James Horst, even served as cohost, reading the underwriters and asking questions of his fellow students.
