Free Fare Day for B-Line Passengers - Monday, April 22nd - Earth Day

April 22, 2024, Chico, CA – On Monday, April 22, 2024, all B-Line Fixed Route and Paratransit buses will be free to ride. In honor of Earth Day, B-Line has secured funds to cover fares for the day in all fare categories. This includes B-Line fixed route and paratransit services within the communities of Chico, Oroville, Paradise, Magalia, Gridley and Biggs.

B-Line wants to thank its passengers and encourage new people to try the bus. With rising gas prices and increased impacts of traffic congestion on our local roadways, B-Line hopes the free fare will encourage new riders to try public transit. Riding the bus is a proactive way for Butte County residents to contribute to improved air quality in the region.

No card or coupon will be needed when boarding a bus on Monday. Paratransit and Dial-A-Ride customers will need to schedule rides in advance with Customer Service by calling (530) 342-0221. B-Line encourages passengers to let staff know how this Free Fare Day has impacted them by calling Customer Service or emailing the agency at [email protected].
