Chico State’s University Film Series continues with a showing of the Chinese film, The World. A bizarre cross-cultural pollination of Las Vegas and Epcot Center, World Park features lavish shows performed amid scaled-down replicas of landmarks such as the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel Tower. The World casts a compassionate eye on the daily loves, friendships and desperate dreams of these twenty-something employees from China’s remote provinces.
