Stonewall is throwing a fundraiser called, "Coming Out for Art" on Oct 10th, 6pm-12am, in celebration of National Coming Out Day.

Oct. 10th from 6-12 at the Habitat Lab at 198 E.13th Street. This is an all ages art show with live entertainment, dj, live artist, a no host bar and much more. This is a chance for any and all artist to display and sell art. We take a small admission fee to submit art, but there is no admission fee for the event. Official after party at the Maltese.

The deadline to submit your form is Oct. 8th. Please, contact [email protected] or go to the Facebook event page for more info.

National Coming Out Day was founded by Robert Eichberg and Jean O'Leary on October 11, 1988 in celebration of the second gay march in Washington D.C. a year earlier. The purpose of the march and of National Coming Out Day is to promote awareness of gay, bisexual, lesbian and transgender issues and to celebrate being LGBTQ. Although National Coming Out Day is a time to celebrate gay pride, many choose this day to come out to their parents, friends, co-workers and themselves.
