Juneteenth Celebration

A celebration of Juneteenth, the days at the conclusion of the civil war when word slowly spread about the unconditional liberation of slaves throughout the south is scheduled for Saturday in Oroville at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Sponsored and organized by the African American Family and Cultural Center, the event features activities and entertainment for people of all ages and runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information call 403-3948
