    The featured speaker will be Donald Light, PhD, currently Resident Scholar at Harvard University. Dr Light is an internationally recognized expert in health policy and comparative health systems, with particular expertise in the U.S. and International pharmaceutical industry. He will discuss the mortality and suffering caused by prescription drugs in America as well as such topics as the high price of prescription drugs and methods by which drug companies market their products.

    Dr Light will be joined by Danny Abifadel Pharm. Ed., and Hematologist/Oncologist David Potter, MD, both of Chico, who will describe how our local medical center and patients are affected by the policies and practices of the American pharmaceutical industry.

    These topic are particularly timely as they relate to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, and the National debate over the future of Medicare.
