Tour De Ed

    This year kicks off the seventh year of the Tour De Ed, a fundraiser for the Chico Cyclist Care Fund.  This event was started when Chico’s icon Ed McLaughlin had a tragic bicycle accident that left him as a quadriplegic.

    The Tour De Ed is a bike ride through the almond blossoms takes place on Sunday March 3, 2013. Definitely a fun ride for the whole family. All riders start together at 10 am with a police escort through town.  Following road signs the riders work their way to Durham elementary for a rest stop them back home on the bike path.  Registration starts at 8 am until 10 am at the Downtown City of Chico parking lot at 4th and 5th streets between Main and Wall. Cost is $25.00 per rider. All proceeds from the ride go to the fund.  This event is funded totally by Sponsorships from various businesses and individuals throughout the community.  For more information contact Sandy Fisher at [email protected].
