American Pastimes starts off with the Woodstock Mountain Revue, a sampling of the music of Mile Twelve (who'll be playing at the Chico Womens Center this week), and Jack Gladstone's epic story of Northern California's Yahi Wars. Local legends t\The 8th Avenue String Band step in with some mighty swing followed by a couple of Albert Lee's early recordings (Lee will be in town in July!). Hoyt Ming & His Pep Steppers made four square dance recordings in 1928 and we'll listen to them all, plus two from his next session in 1973. The Foghorn Stringband and the Zinc Kings show up. And two Tommy Emmanuel duets bring it to a close.
