Tonight
on LA Sounds it would be my father’s birthday so to honor my father I’ll be
playing music I grew up listening to my dad playing and singing by artists such
as Al Jolson, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Eddie Cantor, the Ink Spots and Louie
Prima as well as music I listened to in East LA where I grew up by Linda
Ronstadt, Los Lobos, Richie Valens, Carlos Santana, Freddy Fender and the Texas
Tornadoes.
