"There are really cool ecosystems around water. Where we're standing right now there are birds all around us. You feel very much immersed in the environment around you, which is a cool thing that water is able to bring about." -- Dennis Finger
The debut of a year long Imagining Community series on water with a field interview adjacent to Big Chico Creek in Upper Bidwell Park with Dennis Finger, a molecular environmental biologist and scientific aid with the California Department of Water Resources. Dennis has seen a lot during his 18-months in Butte County including an eye to eye encounter with a tree climbing bear, and viewing 180 migrating bald eagles in just a few hours time near Lake Oroville!
