Federal Funding Under Threat

The voices you hear on KZFR are dedicated community members just like you, who have a passion for enlightening and entertaining the listeners of the Mighty Zephyr.

Our news and public affairs programs cover the stories that matter most to our region, from wildfire updates to community initiatives and voices often left out of mainstream media.

KZFR is where local music lives. From reggae and blues to folk, funk, rock, and beyond, we showcase the artists and genres that make our region unique.

We’ve always been powered by people, not corporations. But now, with federal funding for non-commercial stations under threat, we need your help more than ever.

As we launch our Spring "Pledge To Protect Community Radio" Drive on April 23rd, we’re asking for your support. With federal funding for public media under threat, listener support is more important than ever. Your gift helps protect public media and ensures that KZFR remains a platform for independent journalism, diverse music, and local storytelling.

If KZFR has ever introduced you to your new favorite artist, helped you to feel connected to our community, or just made your day better, now’s your chance to give back.

Blessed love and greetings from Grant Parks, KZFR’s General Manager
