Free 2hr Parking in December

CITY OF CHICO OFFERS FREE 2-HOUR PARKING IN DOWNTOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS

In alignment with City Council's direction to staff, the City of Chico is pleased to announce free 2-hour parking in the downtown area this holiday season! Mon through Fri beginning November 29th to December 24th, visitors can enjoy free 2-hour parking from 9am-6pm. in designated downtown areas as they shop, dine, and experience local events.

Key Details:

  • Free 2-hour parking will be available once per day.
  • Visitors who park in the 2-hour zones downtown do not need to pay; time limits will be enforced.
  • For the long-term zones in downtown, the first 2 hours will be free. Payment will be required for additional time, allowing for an extended stay.

To support turnover and ensure parking is available to all visitors, time limits will be enforced. For shoppers and visitors utilizing long-term parking, simply pay at the kiosks to access free 2-hour parking or use the Passport app. Downtown employees are encouraged to use city parking lots and the parking garage for long-term parking during this period, making additional on-street spaces available for customers and guests.
