Youth learn to host their own radio show

2 graduates from our Youth Radio Camp, Kaitlyn and Semaj, were recently interviewed on Jefferson Public Radio.

"Youth learn to host their own radio show"

Youth (ages 12-17yrs) from the Boys and Girls Club of the North Valley will receive training from KZFR (90.1 FM) to learn how to create and host their own community radio show.

As an educational organization, KZFR offers comprehensive training in the historical, legal, and technical aspects of non-commercial radio broadcasting to the northern California community.

Grant Parks, general manager of KZFR, joins the Exchange along with Kaitlyn Cole and Semaj Owens, students at Chico High School who are participating in the program.

We'd be honored if you would vote for us. You'll find us in the Community section of the ballet, of course! There's no Community Radio without You!
To celebrate 35 years of independent community radio, "Mic Check: An Oral History of KZFR" takes listeners behind the scenes of KZFR 90.1 FM’s earliest days.
Youth members of the Boys & Girls Club of the North Valley recently toured the station. Our GM gave them a behind the scenes look at an independent, nonprofit community radio station. Your group could too!
