On American Pastimes this week we start with songs about going home, toss in The Greencards and The Waybacks, go way back to 1928-29 with guitarist Byrd Moore, listen to two from Wilma Lee Cooper, and join Bill Monroe and Doc Watson performing as a duet for Jimmy Carter in the White House. That leads to a set of Doc Watson tunes, some female favorites, a long set by the Old Possum String Band, and energetic performances by the Freight Hoppers, Highwoods String Band, and Chance McCoy.
