Animal Film Festival (March 1, 2014), presented by the Center for Animal Protection & Education (CAPE), announces its Call for Entries in all categories including student, short, feature and documentary films. The festival will be held at The Center for the Arts in downtown Grass Valley.
Submission period begins May 16, 2013. Filmmakers are encouraged to visit Withoutabox.com to enter your films.
In its 20 year history, CAPE has put forward a number of animal rescue and educational programs about animal issues in todays society. CAPE's Animal Film Festival in the Gold Country of California will bring together people and filmmakers who strive to bring understanding and action that will benefit the animals on our planet.
"Now that CAPE's sanctuary in Grass Valley has been established, we are ready to bring an event to our community that celebrates all animals." JP Novic, Executive Director for CAPE. "Companion animals, wildlife, animals used in entertainment and for food and clothing will all be featured in the films we plan to screen. "
Included in the film categories are "Films that make you Laugh" and "Home-Made Movies about the Animals in our Lives."
Novic adds that awards will be given in several of the categories and encourages local and animal-oriented businesses to sign up as sponsors of specific awards.
