On Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council (YSRAC) will present a special fundraising event at the Alcouffe Center in Oregon House, located at 9185 Marysville Road.
Harvest the Arts brings together local farmers, artists, wineries, corporate sponsors and the entire community to raise funds for Arts Council programs such as Art Harvest where plein air artists are invited to farms and ranches to sketch and paint. It also raises awareness of the many beautiful and delicious foods the Yuba-Sutter area has to offer residents and visitors. It is the ultimate “farm to fork” and “vine to glass” experience on a very local basis.
The $35 ticket price for YSRAC members and $40 for non-members gives guests the opportunity to enjoy ongoing, live “pop-up” entertainment (dancers, musicians, singers, comedians and more), view original artworks by local artists, and take pleasure in the tastes and aromas of a variety of “small bite” dishes prepared by chefs using only locally grown foods. The Yuba College Culinary Arts program under the leadership of local chef, John Nicoletti, will again contribute their talents in preparing many of the dishes that will be presented over the course of the evening.
Local wines and craft beers will also be featured.
Tickets may be purchased at the Arts Council’s office, 624 E Street, Marysville and other locations throughout Yuba and Sutter counties. Sponsorships and donations for this and other YSRAC events are welcome and encouraged. Contact the Arts Council at 530-742-2787 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to order tickets by phone.
