Public Forum on Dioxin

Location: Oroville Public LIbrary
    • 6:00pm8:00pm Wednesday, July 31, 2013

The Butte Environmental Council and Oroville community partners are hosting a Public Forum on dioxin in south Oroville on Wednesday, July 31 at 6pm at the Oroville Public Library, 1820 Mitchell Ave.

This Public Forum is for residents of south Oroville and the larger Oroville community; for Oroville community leaders, agency staff, the faith and healthcare communities, and for local and County Oroville government. The workshop is free, and refreshments will be served.

The Butte Environmental Council is reaching out to the Oroville community to help us set priorities for our remaining dioxin research, and we can offer answers to questions like: What is dioxin? How did it get in my community? Is it dangerous? What can I do?

Together we can make decisions about how to respond to the dioxin problem, and use our specific knowledge and abilities to serve the people and environment of Oroville.
If you would like more information about the Forum, or other dioxin project details, contact Julia at [email protected] or call (530)891-6424
