The Federal Farm Bill: Subsidies, Food Stamps and Honey Bees

The federal Farm Bill is the largest piece of legislation that passes through the US Congress (proposed at $1 trillion).  Ecologist Dr. Claire Kremen (UC, Berkeley) will discuss Senator Barbara Boxer's Pollinator Protection Amendment.

Then, Jessy Gill, Community Food and Justice Coalition, will talk about the proposed increase in crop subsidies, along with the proposed decrease in funding for SNAP (also known as food stamps).
